I read all about one of my distant cousins today... Millie Bush. She was Barbara Bush's Springer Spaniel and she looked a little like me! Can you imagine, one of my family memebers in the White House. I wonder what she gets to eat for dinner. I bet she even had her own maid and companion. Lucky. check out her story, click the following link... First Dogs

Thanksgiving, more like Thanksreceiving

I am ready to pass out on the suede couch as we speak. My family took me to our vacation home today and everyone was there. And everyone LOVED me, I got food and love from everyone there. Even the adults. I got to eat some matchbox cards from my cousin Sam, and I totaly obliteraded a stuffed Goofy at my Mama Behr's house. I visited a national park today, where thank goodness my mom didn't make me walk a trail an get ticks. I got to eat home made orange soft serve ice cream instead. Yum. My daddy loves me to. I really got to play with him this weekend, it was very nice and made my mommy happy. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my loving family.

Sessions On The Couch

Hello all you blogger friends! This is coming to you from my spot on the couch! Aren't I handsome? See, I get to use this old Compaq since my mum got a new Sony- it's way too small for my paws, and she'd make me sleep outside if I touched it!! Posted by Picasa

All I Want For Christmas Is....

Since I already have my two front teeth, I would like to have a super large bone, with great big chuncks of meat still on it, a toy that sqeeks and squeeks and never stops (even when I tear a hole in it), but what I REALLY want is a pass to get as much lap time as I want. I am currently writting this atop my mums lap (nice and warm) and she is pickiing "hitch hikers" out of my hair! We went for a three mile walk last night and there was some yucky grass. I can't even take a bath with the fear it will totaly mat it all up! I think she learned her lesson about where to walk with me!

Today I get to go to a popular trail with my cousin Sophie! She's my best friend and I love her a lot, she'll probably ignore me like usual, but I'll get her to notice me... she won't be able to resist.

My first bike riding adventure! Posted by Picasa

A-tiskit-a-taskit, a dog in a basket

I went on my first bike ride today! My crazy mother put me in her basket on the front of her bike and we went for a ride. We made it about one block and I thought I was going to be sick, so I jumped out, my collar just about choking me- she thought it would keep me in the buggy if she held on to it, well it just about ripped my neck off! That scared me more than the bike ride itself, so I let her heft me back in to the basket and try it again. It wasn't so bad. In fact, I think I kinda liked it. We didn't go much farther, she ckickened out and took me home. I heard her tell my dad that little by little she's going totake me out farther and farther. I hope she realizes that I am going to outgrow that little basket and then what? She'll have created a bike loving dog who's too big for his basket. Maybe next she'll try and get me to ride my own bike. (Nahhh)

My near death experience

Today I almost was killed.... by my mother. I took the first oportunity to escape out the front door this morning that I could. I was FREE. I ran and ran and ran, circles at first and then out into the road. I mean, there was the neighbor dog outside and I just had to go say hello. Well, my mother did not like this AT ALL, she came running across the street after me and scooped me up. Needless to say I spent the next hour in my time out chair!

I guess the leash will be put on me BEFORE the door opens from now on. I will have to say on my behalf, this afternoon when she got home. I sat on command when she opened the door to check the mail! It earned me TWO treats!!! Well worth it- even if it means not seeing my friend.

(This was of course before she saw the chewed up paper towel in the hallway!)

Why ChewDini?

ChewDini is my middle name because when I was a puppy (which I still am) I chewed on EVERYthing in site, and still do I guess. Now my people have just adapted and are smarter about what they leave on the floor. The Dini part is because I can escape any contraption my family put me in, even my cage which locks.... one morning at 6:00 a.m. I moseyed on up stairs to my parents bedroom where they were fast asleep, thinking I was safe and sound in my cage. My mommy's hand was dangling over the edge of the bed, so I decided to give it a little lick. She screamed! I guess she thought I was a boogey man. So now she triple checks the lock when it is bed time. So much for being able to get free food! Or was it the torn up toilet paper all over the kitchen that made her mad? Either way, I am closely supervised now.
